pilgrims from Nepal have been frequently
crossing over Tibet via Simikot – Hilsa vise
versa route from the time immemorial and this
route (Simikot to Tibet) was open only in 1993.
Access to Tibet to Simikot is the shortest and
the most practical for travelers in every aspect
who want to know Nepalese cultural endowment in
the western remote Nepal. As there is no direct
flight to Kathmandu from Simikot and transition
is Nepalgunj airport. The total journey is of
3/4 weeks as per Itinerary designed and the
maximum elevation is 5630m.
Our trekking crews manage all the food and
camping equipment you required during the tour
from Kathmandu. This is one of the best tours
for those of time conscious people and you will
have extra benefit to visit Tirthapuri, Guge
Kingdom and Manasarovar Lake Parikrama at the
same time because it’s all is extension tour
from Darchen, but in this tour already included
and if any one would like to do then we can
reduce 3 days and cost also reduced from the

Days 01 :
Kathmandu / Nyalam
After your breakfast early in the morning at hotel,
drive to Kodari and Entry Zhangmu border then after
complete the immigration checking procedure and
proceed to Nyalam (3800m).O/n at Nyalam Guest House
in Nyalam.

Days 02 :
Excursion @ Nyalam
Have rest day at Nyelam for ACCLIMATISATION with an
excursion to Milarepa's Cave and O/n at Nyalam Guest
House in Nyalam. |
Days 03 :
Nyalam / Paiku Tso / Saga
Drive to Saga (4580m) via Lalung La Pass, Paiku Tso
and cross the Brahmaputra river (known here as the
Yarlung Tsangpo) and O/n at Camp |
Days 04 :
Saga / Paryang
Drive to Paryang (4500m) and O/n at Camp |
Days 05 :
Purang / Manasarovar
Drive to Manasarovar (4560m) and O/nt at Chiu Gompa.

Days 06 :
Manasarovar / Tirthapuri
Drive to Tirthapuri and O/nt at Camp in Tirthapuri.

Days 07 :
Tirthapuri / Tolling / Guge Kingdom
Drive to Tolling @ Guge Kingdom and O/nt at TSADA
Guest House in Guge.

Days 08 :
Visit Guge Kingdom
Excursion around Guge Kingdom / Tolling and O/nt at
TSADA Guest House in Guge

Days 09 :
Guge Kingdom / Darchen / Tarboche
Drive to Tarboche and O/n at Camp in Sershung.

Days 10 :
Tarboche / Drira Phuk
Start Kailash Kora / Parikrama from Darchen pass the
first prostration point, Tarboche Flag Pole, the
auspicious gateway and the sky burial ground, to
Drira Phuk Monastery (4765m) and O/n at Camp in
Drira Phuk from where you have superb views of Mt.
Kailash. |
Days 11 :
Drira Phuk / Zuthul Phuk
Continue Parikrama over Drolma-la Pass (5610m) to
Zuthul Phuk Monastery (4700m), just below the Dolma
La is the Gauri Kund and O/n at Guest House or Camp
in Zuthul Phuk. |
Days 12 :
Zuthul Phuk / Darchen / Manasarovar @ HOR QU
To crosses third and fourth prostration point,
Zuthul Phuk monastery & trek back to near Darchen
then after drive to Hor Qu at 4560m near Lake
Manasarovar and O/n at Camp in Hor Qu.

Days 13 :
Manasarovar / PURANG
Drive to Purang and O/n at Purang Guest House in
Purang.
|
Days 14 :
Purang / Sher / Hilsa (3750m)
Drive to Sher Tibet-Nepal border after Immigration
procedure trek to Hilsa and O/n at Camp |
Days 15 :
Hilsa / Yari (3670m)
After break fast start walking steep up hill with
pack lunch to Nara La (4620m) via Ranipauwa village
(4370m). After pass path goes down all the down to
camp at Yari village with cultivation, where is the
last check post of Nepal in between Tibet/China
border and O/n at Camp |
Days 16 :
Yari /Muchu (3120m)
From Yari path start gentle down hill along the open
countryside with Junipers trees, animal shelters and
highland bird’s life and before crossing the bridge
on Kumuchhiya Khola down hill to Tumkot and climb
upto Muchu for our visa and permits clearness. Walk
down along side of Karnali River to reach the camp
and O/n at Camp |
Days 17 :
Muchu / Yalbang (3020m)
To cross the bridge on the Karnali River then
walking along side with narrow valley. Maples,
Walnut, Pines, roses and mix vegetations give you
cool walk. Walk to Yalbang via Yangar villages and
O/n at Camp |
Days 18 :
Yalbang / Tuling (2290m)
To trek up hill and slow down via Kermi and
Dharapuri along side of Karnali River and pine
forest and cultivations along the villages with
domesticated animals and O/n at Camp.

Days 19 :
Tuling / Simikot (2950m)
Last day on trek start steep up till the pass before
Simikot, trekking end at Simikot and O/n at Camp |
Days 20 :
Simikot (OR Kathmandu)
Buffer day at Simikot incase of bad weather for
flight operation |
Days 21 :
Simikot / Nepalgunj / Kathmandu
Early morning fly to Nepalgunj then after connect to
Kathmandu by flight. Some time flight can cancel on
certain circumstances so at least need extra days
for this trip and tour end.

NOTE :
We don't charge extra for the Parikrama. If you wish
to take help of a yak, the cost will be approx US$
60 payable directly to the yak herder. All Indian
pilgrims are advised to hire one. You have to
understand that the yaks are not domesticated but
are meant to carry luggage. Getting thrown off the
yak is an adventure for which we do not charge
extra! |
