Tibet lies on
the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of the southwest
border of China. Although a part of China, Tibet
has a unique culture of all there own. Tibetans,
a minority nationality of old and mysterious
people, mainly inhabit it. Tourist attractions
include the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Jhokhang
Temple, and a number of Buddhist sacred places.
Most tourists come to visit Tibet only in the
warmest seasons, April to September period of
the year. Fly over the Himalayas from Kathmandu
to Lhasa and tour this ancient Buddhist Capital.
This panoramic tour begins with flight to the
forbidden capital visiting the three most
important cities of Tibet. You spend the time
exploring Lhasa, Shigatse and Gyantse. The
journeys end with a return flight to Kathmandu
avoiding the overland route. While you are Lhasa
visit the famous Potala Palace, the Jhokhang,
great monasteries and walk through the bustling
Barkhor Market, a fine introductory tour to the
heart of Tibet.

Itinerary in Details |
Days 01 :
Kathmandu / Gongkar/ Gyantse (3650m)
Departure on you is schedule with Air China’s flight
to Lhasa. Upon your arrival at Gongkar airport you
shall be met your Tibetan guide proceed to transfer
to Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake and crossing three (3)
passes [namely-1-Khamba La(4970m), 2-Karo La (4960m)
& 3-Simi La], Check In hotel and Later in the
afternoon visit to Khumbum Stupa and Phalkor
Monastery and O/nt at Hotel in Gyantse. |
Days 02 :
Gyantse / Shigatse
Drive to Shigatse via Shalu Monastery, visit
Tashilhunpo Monastery and the free market in
Shigatse and O/nt at Hotel in Shigatse. |
Days 03 :
Shigatse / Lhasa
Drive to Lhasa via Northern highway and visit
Yungdrung Ling Monastery on the way to Lhasa. In the
afternoon, proceed to visit to Tibetan Medical
Institute or Museum and O/nt at Hotel in Lhasa. |
Days 04 :
Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa
Sightseeing tour of Sera Monastery, Jhokhang Temple
and Barkhor Bazaar and O/nt at Hotel |
Days 05 :
Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa
Sightseeing tour of Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace
and Drepung Monastery and O/nt at Hotel |
Days 06 :
Visit Ganden Monastery
The sightseeing tour to Ganden Monastery and explore
around in Ganden then back to Lhasa and O/nt at
Hotel. |
Days 07 :
Visit Tsurphu Monastery
The sightseeing tour to Ganden Monastery Tsurphu
Monastery and visit the seat of Karmapa Lama then
back to Lhasa and O/nt at Hotel. |
Days 08 :
Lhasa / Gongkar / Kathmandu (1350M)
Transfer to Gongkar airport as departure on you is
schedule with Air China’s flight to Kathmandu. Upon
your arrival at Kathmandu airport you shall be met
our airport representative then after transfer to
Thamel or provided hotel in Valley. |
