Drive over the
Himalayas by way of the incredible Arniko
Highway that connects Kathmandu with Lhasa.
Enjoy fabulous mountain scenery enroute, visit
mystical Buddhist monasteries of Tashilhunpo at
Shigatse, the Khumbum Stupa at Gyantse, and
drive past the beautiful Turquoise Lake. In
Lhasa visit the famous Potala and Norbulinka
palaces, the great Drepung Monastery and walk
through the bustling Barkhor Bazaar before
flying back to Kathmandu (or onward to China). A
choice of hotels is available in Lhasa and best
hotels in other places and an unforgettable
encounter with forbidden Tibet. Although a part
of China, Tibet has a unique culture of all
there own. Tibetans, a minority nationality of
old and mysterious people, mainly inhabit it.
Tourist attractions include the Potala Palace in
Lhasa, Jhokhang Temple, and a number of Buddhist
sacred places. Most tourists come to visit Tibet
only in the warmest seasons, April to September
period of the year. Visit the famous Potala
Palace, the Jhokhang, great monasteries and walk
through the bustling Barkhor Market, a fine
introductory tour to the heart of Tibet. At the
end of your tour flies over the Himalayas from
Lhasa to Kathmandu and tour end at Gongkar
airport.

Days 01 :
Kathmandu / Zhangmu (2300m)
Drive to Zhangmu early in the morning from Kathmandu
to Kodari. After doing immigration and custom
formalities drive uphill to Zhangmu Immigration
Post. Complete custom and its distance 123kms and O/nt
at Hotel in Zhangmu. |
Days 02 :
Zhangmu / Xegar (4350m)
Drive to Xegar crossing Nyalamu pass (3,800m) and
Lalung la pass (5,050m). This drive offers fantastic
view of the high mountain including Mount Everest
(8,848m) and its distance 244kms and O/nt at Hotel
in Xegar. |
Days 03 :
Xegar / Shigatse (3900m)
Drive to Shigatse and after noon visit the famous
Tashilhunpo Monastery and the seat of Panchen Lama
and its distance 244kms and O/nt at Hotel in
Shigatse. |
Days 04 :
Shigatse / Gyantse (3900m)
In the morning, visit the FREE MARKET in Shigatse
then after proceed to Gyantse and visit Phalkor
Monastery and Khumbum Stupa and its distance about
90kms and O/nt at Hotel in Gyantse. |
Days 05 :
Gyantse / Lhasa (3650m)
Drive to Lhasa, crossing 2 passes The Karo La
(5010m) and Kamba La (4794m) and Yamdrok Tso Lake
and its distance 259kms and O/nt at Hotel in Lhasa. |
Days 06 :
Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa
Sightseeing tour of Sera Monastery, Jhokhang Temple
and Barkhor Bazaar and O/nt at Hotel |
Days 07 :
Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa

Transfer to Gongkar airport as departure on you is
schedule with Air China’s flight to Kathmandu. Upon
your arrival at Kathmandu airport you shall be met
our airport representative then after transfer to
Thamel or provided hotel in Valley. |
